En février 2024, Benjamin Muller décide de monter un groupe hommage à David Bowie. En effet, après avoir entendu sa voix, de nombreuses personnes lui ont fait remarquer sa ressemblance avec celle du Caméléon. Il publie alors une annonce pour trouver des musiciens, et une première version du groupe voit rapidement le jour avec Jipé Gazeau à la basse et Emmanuelle Dumont au piano ainsi qu’à la deuxième voix. Guillaume Chevallier rejoint l’aventure en avril, suivi d'Axel Fouquet en septembre. Enfin, c'est Nuvolari qui vient remplacer Jipé Gazeau à la basse en mars 2026.

Space Beginners s'est produit à plusieurs reprises depuis décembre 2024 . A chaque fois, le public est conquis par la qualité de la prestation et l'enthousiasme du groupe.

Le répertoire est composé de chansons de Bowie écrites entre 1969 et 1987, soit entre Space Oddity et Absolute Beginners, d'où le nom Space Beginners. Ce choix permet au groupe d'explorer divers styles musicaux, allant du folk à l'art rock, en passant par le glam et la pop.

In February 2024, Benjamin Muller decided to form a tribute band to David Bowie. Indeed, after hearing his voice, many people pointed out its resemblance to that of the Chameleon. He then posted an ad to find musicians, and a first version of the band quickly took shape with Jipé Gazeau on bass and Emmanuelle Dumont on piano and backing vocals. Guillaume Chevallier joined the adventure in April, followed by Axel Fouquet in September.  Finally, it is Nuvolari who replaced Jipé Gazeau as the bass player since march 2026.

Space Beginners has performed several times since December 2024. Each time, the audience is won over by the quality of the performance and the enthusiasm of the group.

The setlist consists of Bowie songs written between 1969 and 1987, from Space Oddity to Absolute Beginners, hence the name Space Beginners. This selection allows the band to explore various musical styles, from folk to art rock, as well as glam and pop.
